Particularly when the economy is in the doldrums, there are few businesses that have more work than a repossessing service. There are a number of different kinds of companies where repossessing is a necessary part of their day to day work. If you go to a payday loan company, for example, and they ask for the title to your car as collateral, this means that they are agreeing to lend you money at a certain interest rate, and if you don't pay them back in full, they will take your car by hiring a repo man.
